The Memory Game Association of Japan (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the activities that the Association sponsors, is involved in, or cooperates with, and provides on this website (hereinafter referred to as "the Association's Activities").
Article 1 (Personal Information)

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)
The Society may ask for personal information such as name, gender, date of birth, e-mail address, state of residence, and ID information when a user registers to participate in or use the Society's activities.
Article 3 (Purpose of collecting and using personal information)
The purposes for which the Association collects and uses personal information are as follows
- To provide and manage our activities
- To publish the results of competitions and certifications sponsored by the Association in various media, including the Internet.
- To be used for ranking based on competitions and certifications organized by the Association and related organizations
- To promote the healthy development and spread of memory game culture by publishing on the Internet within appropriate limits
- Providing information to various media (TV broadcasters, newspapers, etc.) under the condition that the use of the information is limited to the socially acceptable and appropriate range.
- To respond to inquiries from users (including to confirm the identity of the user)
- To contact you as necessary for maintenance, important notices, etc.
- To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the Association's activities for fraudulent or unjust purposes, and to refuse their use.
- To allow users to view, change, or delete their own registration information, or view the status of their usage.

Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)
The Association shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably deemed that the purpose of use is relevant to the purpose of use before the change.
In the event of a change in the purpose of use, the revised purpose shall be publicly announced on this website.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
Except in the following cases, the Association will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user. However, this excludes cases permitted under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.
- When it is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- When it is especially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national agency or local government to execute affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of such affairs.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When the Association receives a request for disclosure of personal information from an individual, it will disclose such information to the individual without delay. However, the Society may decide not to disclose all or part of the information if disclosure would result in any of the following cases, and if it decides not to disclose the information, the Society will notify the individual to that effect without delay.
- If there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the person concerned or a third party
- If there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper conduct of the Association's business
- In the event of any other violation of laws and regulations
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, as a general rule, we will not disclose non-personal information, such as historical information and characteristic information.
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
- If a user's personal information in the possession of the Society is incorrect, the user may request the Society to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "correct, etc.") the user's personal information in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Society. The user may request the Society to correct, add, or delete his/her personal information ("Correction, etc.") in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Society.
- If the Society receives a request from a User as described in the preceding paragraph and deems it necessary to respond to such request, the Society shall correct such personal information without delay.
- When the Society makes a correction, etc. based on the preceding paragraph or decides not to make a correction, etc., it will notify the user of this without delay.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
- If the Association receives a request from an individual to stop using or delete (hereinafter referred to as "stop using, etc.") his/her personal information on the grounds that it has been handled beyond the scope of the purposes of use or that it has been obtained through wrongful means, the Association will conduct the necessary investigation without delay. In the event of a request for suspension of use or deletion of personal information (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc."), we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
- If, based on the results of the investigation described in the preceding paragraph, we determine that it is necessary to comply with the request, we will suspend the use of the relevant personal information without delay.
- When the Society suspends the use of the information in accordance with the preceding paragraph, or when it decides not to suspend the use of the information, it will notify the user of this without delay.
Article 9 (Changes to Privacy Policy)
- The contents of the Policy may be changed without notice to users, except as otherwise provided by law or otherwise in this Policy.
- Unless otherwise specified by the Association, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
