The following events will be held. You may participate in multiple events (or just one, of course).

Participation fee

  • 3,000 yen (This is the participation fee regardless of how many events you enter.)
  • One companion allowed (free).
  • Please contact us in advance if you will have visitors or if you will be accompanied by two or more people (you will not be able to enter the venue if you do not contact us).
  • Please pay the registration fee at the venue on the day of the event.

Pi Reproduction

  • Competitors race to write down 100 or 1000 digits of pi on graph paper.
  • Please write it in Arabic numerals. Shorthand and kanji are not permitted.

  • The method of correction is fine as long as it's known that it has been corrected.

Amended example

 

  • You can use replacement symbols. If the intent is clear later, you can also replace entire lines or blocks spanning multiple lines (e.g., columns 201-300).
  • You can use insertion symbols. However, for checking your answers, please ensure the correct number comes at the beginning of the line.
  • Writing utensils: ballpoint pen, fountain pen, mechanical pencil, pencil.
  • Competitors can choose between a stack timer or a stopwatch. Stack timers cannot measure times over 10 minutes (if you choose a stack timer and exceed 10 minutes, it will be a DNF).

  • Please write on graph paper from left to right, in either portrait (40 columns x 25 rows) or landscape (25 columns x 40 rows) orientation. For grading efficiency, please use 40 columns per line in portrait orientation and 25 columns per line in landscape orientation, with line breaks.

円周率桁当て競技

  • This is a competition to guess the digit corresponding to any digit from the first to the thousandth decimal place of pi.
  • SpeedPi"SpeedPi Random" corresponds to this (in the example below, it indicates that the 274th digit after the decimal point of pi is "3", the 330th digit is "0", etc.)
  • 競技会ではPCを使わずに、5つの桁（1～996の任意の数）が記載された紙に回答していただきます。以下の答案用紙のサンプルをご覧ください。採点は競技者の相互で行います。
  • （注意！ルール改正）回答は5桁記載してください（例：201桁→44288、801桁→50244）
